The filing period for candidates for the Concord School District Board of Education will open on Friday, September 8, 2023 at 8:00 a.m. and will close at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, September 18, 2023.
Three members of the Concord School Board and the Concord School Board Treasurer will be elected within the Concord School District.
The terms of board members Thomas Croteau (School Voting Zone A – Wards 1, 2, 3, 4), Jonathan Weinberg (School Voting Zone B – Wards 5, 6, 7), and Brenda Hastings (School Voting Zone C – Wards 8, 9, 10) are ending December 31, 2023. The Term of the Treasurer, Clint Cogswell, is ending December 31, 2023.
The election will be held on November 7, 2023, and each elected member will serve a three (3) year term, beginning January 1, 2024. The elected Treasurer will serve a three (3) year term, beginning January 1, 2024.
To be qualified for election to a School Voting Zone office of the Board, the candidate must be a registered voter of the Concord School District and domiciled in the School Voting Zone.
The filing fee for candidacy is five dollars ($5.00).
Individuals wishing to declare candidacy for the Board of Education should file within the filing period with Patrick H. Taylor, Clerk, at the Concord School District Offices, 38 Liberty Street, Concord, New Hampshire 03301.
